Diane Duncan, MD, FACS Develops a Take-Home “Exosome Balm”

Diane Duncan, MD, FACS is one of many trusted professionals in the ever-evolving world of functional aesthetics. Currently, the BENEV Company Inc. is dominating the industry as a globally recognized partner in medical aesthetics. Their next level technologies are meticulously and scientifically engineered, providing transformative options for physicians looking to enhance their practice offerings.
BENEV’s Regenerative Trifecta is designed to combat signs of aging using a clinically-backed array of treatments: polydioxanone (PDO) threads, dual wave radiofrequency (RF) microneedling, and rejuvenating post treatment topicals. Since its launch in 2018, the Sylfirm X, BENEV Exosomes, and Miracu® PDO Threads have worked their way to the forefront of patients’ and practitioners’ minds—and rightfully so. Each product brings something unique to the table, whether that be a minimally invasive alternative to full-blown facial reconstruction surgery, or faster post treatment recovery.
Dr. Duncan is particularly a fan of combining Sylfirm X and BENEV Exosome Regenerative Complexes. The Sylfirm X employs dual wave RF microneedling, meaning that users like Dr. Duncan can tailor device settings in order to more effectively address patients’ skin concerns and types. If we thought that the new ability to personalize RFMN sessions made Sylfirm X innovative enough, applying Exosomes post procedure sends the patient experience into a completely different dimension. Exosomes can deliver up to three times the potency and growth agents of other regenerative medicines like platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and since they are inherently anti-inflammatory, can greatly improve treatment downtime.
Lisa, a long time patient of Dr. Duncan, was undergoing radiation therapy during her battle against breast cancer. She had developed severe blistering as a result of the radiation, with burns penetrating the front of her chest all the way to her back.
Using the lyophilized BENEV Exosome Regenerative Complex and combining it with squalene and lipids, Diane Duncan, MD, FACS was able to develop a specialized “Exosome Balm” for her patient, Lisa, who was suffering from severe burns as a result of radiation therapy.
Upon application, Lisa reported that “...the pain was gone. It was amazing that it didn’t burn. My skin was not burning. After that, I didn’t use any of the other medications that I got from the cancer center. I just used the Exosomes exclusively. It was a blessing, and I would absolutely recommend it, absolutely, to anybody that is going through something like that because it is extraordinary.”
Unlike BENEV’s Exosome Regenerative Complex (ERC) and Exosome Regenerative
Complex + (ERC+), Dr. Duncan’s Exosome Balm is intended to be a take-home option for patients to use on their own, post procedures. In cases where patients need a little extra relief during their downtime, or who simply want to bounce back quicker, the Exosome Balm will mobilize the magic of regenerative medicine.
Further research and trials are still underway, but the BENEV Exosome Balm is set to be released sometime in 2023. In the meantime, aesthetic practitioners are optimizing the BENEV Exosome Regenerative Complexes by enhancing their patients’ recovery process, expanding clientele, and improving the overall aesthetic experience.
